Course Description

Students will be introduced to a variety of experiences that explore a range of graphic communication media, processes and techniques. You will be made aware of both traditional and new media.

Students will be expected to respond to an issue, concept or idea, working to a brief or answering a need. You will explore the creative use of typography using traditional and new media. Students will look at graphic design from different eras and cultures to gain an appreciation of communication techniques that could influence their own ideas. You may work with visiting practitioners or visit galleries or other places of interest to support your studies.
