Course Description

These courses are designed to train you in the skills necessary to operate various Pedestrian Operated Trucks (often referred to as Pedop, POET or stacker trucks). We offer different courses dependent on what category of Pedestrian Operated truck you need training in (low level, eye level or high level).

Who should attend?

Candidates whose duties in the workplace require the use of a Pedestrian Operated truck. Those who have completed training in one of our other truck courses can choose to attend training as a conversion candidate.

By the end of each course, you will have covered the following:

• Carrying out a pre-use inspection
• Controls and instruments
• Starting, stopping, moving and steering the truck
• Battery care and maintenance
• Weight assessment
• Vehicle loading and unloading from a loading dock environment
• Bulk and industrial pallet racking
• Causes of truck and load instability
